Weekly Update #7

Hello again, everyone. Here with a new update.
Finally finished up that relationship script. It turned out to be quite enjoyable later on with some slight twists, but I'll let you all enjoy that when the patch gets released.

A lot of people have been asking for some numbers, and so here they are again:
1.91MB completely translated with 311KB being currently worked on, and there is 2.70MB left.
I try not to post these numbers since I personally feel like they are not a truly accurate portrayal of the progress I'm making.

Also, thanks to all those who are offering help, but I would like to keep the translation to myself to keep a thorough consistency throughout the whole game. I do know that it could maybe be a bit faster should I delegate some scenes to others, but that would also make incongruencies within the scripts. It's hard enough trying to keep the spelling, terminology and voices for each of the character the same even alone by myself, and I can't imagine what it would be like if there were many others translating at the same time.

  4. Well, I suppose that would be the main reason to work on your own, since forming a team of any kind requires significant coordination and planning for this kind of project.

Keep it up, looking forward to the finished product! I just finished the game recently, it really is more of a fanservice disc than anything else, heh

  5. fanservice is very good on it's own ways xD

but what I'm most looking forward is to see more character interaction and see them when they are not fighting too.

  6. Wow 2.7 MB left, and 311 KB you're doing right now? That's quite a bit of translating there you have to do. You are truly a god.

  7. Hmm, I understand your concern for other people helping. That's fine by me, but, I was wondering, do you do the repacking yourself after translating? Because I'm interested in doing some of my own work for myself but I can't find a way to repack what I do back into a xp3 archive. Thanks

  9. Thanks for the update! This is truly an awesome project and I'll be waiting for it to be completed. And if you ever need help with anything that us unskilled laborers can do, I'm sure a simple request and you'll have tons of us at your bidding =P.

  12. Oh, and by the way... Sorry for an impolite question, but, just for us to know, are you going to make a partial patch?

  14. I wouldnt make a partial patch. It sure takes some time to make one. Better complete the translation and make then a patch with the complete text :)

  15. From the south of the world, thanks for the hard work ^^

  16. Congrats. You are translating pretty fast, considering how much work those things entail. Over half a megabyte of text in only 4 weeks? That's impressive, no matter how you look at it. If you aren't doing this as a full-time job, you are freaking Superman of translation. :D

Thanks for all your hard work!

  17. That's not the actual amount of _text_, 'cos the numbers state the amount of _script_, which also includes some engine instructions, etc besides plain text.

  18. Yet that doesn't deny the fact that Amukunau is great!;)
