Weekly Update #2

It's been a busy week with exams and projects due, but the long scene involving the group's overnight stay at Ryudou Temple is translated.

I realized that I've worked on only this scene whenever I got to translating for the past week or so. Usually, however, I jump from scene to scene to keep myself from getting tired of the scene and burning out. Maybe starting this blog has instilled more resopnsibility in me that subconsciously made me translate more methodically. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working for me, so I'll resume my jumping from scene to scene and translating whichever file I end up opening first. Currently I'm working on a few small files and one file that's even bigger than the one I just finished translating. Thankfully the large file seems to be a comical scene also, which is always welcome.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen too many serious scenes yet, although I've been random in my selection of files to translate. One advantage and disadvantage of Kagetsu Tohya was that the whole script was a single file; I didn't have the flexibilty of jumping from scene to scene, but I also didn't have to worry about which scene to translate next.

Weekly update

Word got around to delta, and we're back in contact.
Thank you all very much!

As for the translation update and tidbit I'm working on the largest "chunk" of file that I've come across until now. After this there seems to be one chunk that's even larger and a few of around the same size, not to mention the smaller files which constitute the majority of the script.

*****SPOILER ALERT*****
The scene involves the whole gang going into an overnight stay at Issei's temple for cultural festival preparations.
A whole scene ensues around the temple's tatami mats which are new and praised by the group. And another encounter between Rider and Ayako happens, which is always ludicrous.
*****SPOILER END*****

I don't know how many hours Kagetsu Tohya took me to translate, but I remember working on it fairly constantly. I'm going to try to set up a regimen where I devote a specified amount of time each day or possibly week to translating. I hope to get the translation out as quickly as possible to the readers, but there is also school which takes up a signifcant part of my time. I'll try my best to keep a constant and adequate progress.

I still haven't really thought about what to write in these updates, and I'm more than welcome to suggestions.

Looking for delta!

Delta, if you're reading this, please e-mail me at amukunau@gmail.com.

Introductory post

Welcome all to my blog.

I'm Amukunau from Beast's Lair.

I'm currently working on translating Fate/Hollow Ataraxia into English. I have previously worked on translating the main story of Kagetsu Tohya.

I created this blog to use it as a sort of motivation for finishing the translation sooner so that people can enjoy it.

I'll try updating the blog at least once a week with progress on the translation.
